Oak Canyon Nature Center
Nature Interactives
Anaheim, CA • opened 2024
A 58-acre natural preserve, with a year-round stream, three adjoining canyons, and four miles of trails. It provides Anaheim residents and visitors an opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the environment in their own “backyard.” It is home to one of the few remaining areas of oak woodland and coastal sage scrub located in the region.
The exhibit contains a series of fun and engaging physical interactives using mechanical and electromechanical elements. Visitors learn about waves, atoms and molecules, earth’s features, constellations, animal and plant adaptations, erosion, energy transfer, earthquakes, water and ecosystems.
Red Cape Studio was hired to design a series of outdoor interactive elements.
